IT builds a new help desk system for the organization where this pilot fish works, and it's a big improvement.

"Now users could enter help desk tickets from anywhere and have the ticket routed to the right person," says fish.

"Our CIO made the decision that this help desk could be used for anything, PC-related or not. For example, it could be used for building maintenance requests.

"About three days into the new help desk, a ticket is entered requesting building service -- there was a window leaking.

"My CIO was reading all of the calls. To this one he dutifully responded: 'Please enter your version of Windows when opening a ticket.'"

Thumbs up Review - Bellagio Axim Case

Well, as we all know, there are many choices for us when it comes to deciding how to “dress” our new PPC toys. There are many different case manufacturers, each offering their own slightly different case. And for each of these variations there are several PPC owners that are looking for cases that are looking for “just a few extra features.” It seems to be the consensus that no one case has cornered the market because there has not yet been one case that offered every feature that we are all looking for in a case. So today I am going to tell you about one of the better case alternatives I have experienced thus far in my search ….

The Bellagio Axim Case:
http://bellagiodesigns.com/Listado_d...ategoria_3=21&

… a classy name for a classy case. So what makes this case classy?

One of the qualities of this case that makes it stand out from the pack is that the case can be cradled. Yes, you understand me correctly. With your Axim still in its case you can easily place it in the cradle for syncing. When it is time to run off to a meeting … you just grab your Axim and go. No more time spent at your desk putting your Axim back in its case before running off to that oh so important staff meeting. The way that the Bellagio accomplishes this is also somewhat unique. Because Bellagio Designs wanted to give us a substantial case for protecting our device they came up with a solution that doesn’t compromise the integrity of their case. The back of the case is a full leather flap … with a fold. When the case is inserted in the cradle, the back flap folds back out of the way. When the case is removed from the cradle … you have a fully protected Axim once again. Because of this fold away leather flap, the case has a built in stand. You want your Axim to stand freely? Fold the flap out and type away on that new wireless keyboard without using the plastic stand that came with the keyboard. (See attached pictures for further clarification).

Another one of the outstanding features of the case is the leather. The model I am reviewing is the flip style nappa brown leather case. The front of the case is padded (for added protection) and is made from the softest leather I have yet felt in a case. The bottom ¾ of the case is almost suede-like to the touch while the top has contrasting smooth leather in the same color. Right below the leather change line is a small oval metal “bellagio” symbol. Those of you who were in awe of the leather used in the Krussell case would love how the Bellagio looks and feels.

All slots are completely accessible (with the exception of the soft reset button) including the CF card slot. Have a wireless CF or any other protruding device in your CF slot? Not a problem. This case will accommodate you. The case is available in 2 styles (flip style and book style) and 2 colors as of this writing (black and brown). The flip case has 2 credit card slots and 2 SD slots for storage. It retails for $39.99 at the above mentioned site.

There are only 2 drawbacks to the case for me personally. The first is that the soft reset button is covered by the case. I have yet to find a case that leaves the soft reset key open so maybe I am the only person who is interested in that feature . Also. The way that the case is cradled does not allow you to leave your extra battery charging in the cradle at the same time that your Axim (in case) are cradled. (Also a minor issue).

So after all is said and done … the Bellagio is definitely one of the nicer cases that I have found on the market for the Axim. I highly recommend it. See the attached pictures.

Excellent case! So that one & "Case Techworks" case are the only ones that you can leave on in the cradle.
